Children with particular learning difficulties are monitored by the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator) and extra support is sometimes provided by specialist teachers or learning support assistants. Children with Statements receive the legal requirements of support. We also have access to an Educational Psychologist, but this service is only used with the full knowledge and approval of parents.
In Key Stage 1 children may be taught in classes, sets or in groups so that they can achieve their potential and progress at their own pace. In Key Stage 2 children are set for Maths and English, again allowing them to work with other children of a similar level. Children for Cage Green Centre of Autism include in mainstream school when appropriate.
